The Sun Belt Conference is a collegiate athletic conference that has been participating in the Division I of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) since 1976. The football teams of this conference also play in the Football Bowl Subdivision Division I. Its 12 university members are located across the Southern part of the United States.

Current members of the Sun Belt Conference are University of Arkansas at Little Rock (Trojans), Arkansas State University (Red Wolves), University of Denver (Pioneers), Florida Atlantic University (Owls), Florida International University (Golden Panthers), University of Louisiana at Lafayette (Ragin’ Cajuns), University of Louisiana at Monroe (Warhawks), Middle Tennessee State University (Blue Raiders), University of North Texas (Mean Green), University of South Alabama (Jaguars), Troy University (Trojans), and Western Kentucky University (Hilltoppers).

Aside from baseball, basketball and football, the Sun Belt Conference also sponsors championship competitions in men and women’s division of cross country, men and women’s division of golf, women’s division of soccer, women’s division of softball, men and women’s division of swimming and diving, men and women’s division of tennis, men and women’s division of indoor track and field, men and women’s division of outdoor track and field, and women’s division of volleyball.
