Bowling Green State Bowling Green State

The Mid-American Conference is a college athletic conference that actively participates in the Division I of the National Collegiate Athletic Association. Its members are based in the Great Lakes region, stretching from western part of New York to Illinois. Nine of its twelve members are based in Michigan and Ohio with single members located in New York, Indiana and Illinois. Its football teams participate in the Football Bowl Subdivision of the NCAA.

Current members of the East Division of the Mid-American Conference are University of Akron (Zips), Bowling Green State University (Falcons), University at Buffalo (Bulls), Kent State University (Gold Flashes), Miami University (Red Hawks), and Ohio University (Bobcats). Current members of the West Division of the Mid-American Conference are Ball State University (Cardinals), Central Michigan University (Chippewas), Eastern Michigan University (Eagles), Northern Illinois University (Huskies), University of Toledo (Rockets), and Western Michigan University (Broncos).

Mid-Western Conference sponsors 11 sports in men’s division and 12 sports in women’s division. The sports in the men’s division are basketball, baseball, football, cross country, indoor track and field, golf, swimming and diving, soccer, tennis, outdoor track and field and wrestling. The sports in the women’s division are basketball, field hockey, cross country, gymnastics, golf, soccer, indoor track and field, softball, tennis, swimming and diving, outdoor track and field and volleyball.
