The Big East Conference is a college athletics conference that consists of 16 universities from the half Eastern part of the United States. It also has one associate member. All its full-time members and one associate member participate in 24 sports competitions in National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA).

Its full-time football members are University of Cincinnati (Bearcats), University of Connecticut (Huskies), University of Louisville (Cardinals), University of Pittsburgh (Panthers), Rutgers University (Scarlet Knights), University of South Florida (Bulls), Syracuse University (Orange), and West Virginia University (Mountaineers). It full-time non-football members are Marquette University (Golden Eagles), University of Notre Dame (Fighting Fish), DePaul University (Blue Demons), Georgetown University (Hoyas), St. John’s University (Red Storm), Seton Hall University (Pirates), Providence College (Friars), and Villanova University (Wildcats). Its associate member is Loyola University Maryland (Greyhounds).

Members of the Big East Conference compete in baseball, basketball (men and women’s division), cross country (men and women’s division), football, field hockey, golf (men and women’s division), lacrosse (men and women’s division), rowing (women’s division), soccer (men and women’s division), softball (women’s division), swimming and diving (men and women’s division), tennis (men and women’s division), indoor track and field (men and women’s division), outdoor track and field (men and women’s division), and volleyball (women’s division).
